To the best of my knowledge, only two of his books are available in the States.

There are many lovely authors emerging from the Antipodes. Have you read Elizabeth Knox's Dreamhunter/Dreamquake duo. It continues to haunt me. I would describe it as kabbalistic antipodean fantasy:
